About ANWB Camping: from camping guide to the largest camping platform in the Netherlands

ANWB set up a separate branch for camping in 1983. Over the years, ANWB Camping went from informing campers about European campsites to letting them book one directly on anwbcamping.nl. That made it the largest camping provider in the Netherlands, with 3.2 million visitors a year looking for the right spot. Online service now runs through the whole journey, from finding a campsite to paying for it.

The challenge: campsite payouts that took more than two weeks

Paying for a booking is the last step of that journey, and it has to work. ANWB Camping used to process these payments through a bank, and it took more than two weeks before a campsite received its money. For thousands of campsite owners across Europe, that meant waiting for revenue campers had already paid.
